After a complete renovation, this beautiful cottage is available for bookings.

Strone is in a quiet, private location accessed by its own drive. It is a short walk from Knocklea.

The accommodation comprises a dining kitchen and boot room on the ground floor. There is also a separate, large laundry/drying room.

Upstairs all rooms have views across the river to the hills beyond. The sitting room has a wood-burning stove and french windows leading to a balcony. There are two large bedrooms with Novar's signature luxury beds and bedlinen. One has an ensuite bathroom with bath and separate over-sized shower. The second bedroom has a separate bathroom. Heating is provided by a modern, efficient air-source heat pump.

The house has a large enclosed garden with a path and gate leading to the Strone pool on the river. This pool is for the exclusive use of guests staying in the cottage and does not form part of the formal beat rotation of the River Alness.

Strone is an ideal base for family holidays, to fish the River Alness, to walk undisturbed for miles on forest and hill tracks or to sample the many golf courses in the area including Royal Dornoch, Tain, Golspie and Nairn.

The cottage is suitable for accompanied children over eight years old. We are unable to accept bookings that include younger children.

Dogs are welcome in downstairs non-carpeted areas.
